Heavier, double-sided (mirror image on both sides) pendant of the Norse Vegvisir with Rune letters around the circumference.
The Vegvisir (Icelandic Vegvísir, “”pronounced “VEGG-vee-seer”) is from the Icelandic collection of staves or spell symbols in the Huld Manuscript. The Huld states, “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.” Vegvisir translates to ‘wayfinder’ or ‘sign post’ in Icelandic. It is a symbolic spell to guide and protect travelers in rough weather. It is often referred to as the Viking or Norse Compass.
